Armodafinil is recognized as the R-enantiomer of modafinil, meaning that it is a mirror image of one of the molecules that make up modafinil. It was approved in 2007 as a newer drug compared to modafinil, which was approved in 1998 for treating sleep disorders
The usual adult dose for modafinil is 200 mg once a day in the morning and the usual dose for Armodafinil is 150mg, to be taken once per day in the morning.
The dose may be adjusted based on individual response and tolerance.
Modafinil should be stored in a closed container at room temperature, away from heat, moisture, and direct light. It should be kept from freezing and out of the reach of children. It is important to keep track of how many tablets are left to ensure that none are missing. If you miss a dose of modafinil, you should take it as soon as possible before 12:00 noon on the same day, unless otherwise directed by your doctor
